The main take away I have from my recent nap reseach is keep it fast, long naps leave you waking up feeling groggy, so follow these steps for the perfect nap, you are welcome!

  1. Find your afternoon low point. This is usually 7 hours after you wake up.
  2. Create a peaceful environment to nap. Turn off your phone, make sure you are comfortable and won’t be disturbed.
  3. Down a coffee, yes, you heard me right, caffeine takes about 25 mins to hit your bloodstream, so it will kick in as you awaken.
  4. Set a timer for 25 mins. It usually takes about 5-10 mins to fall asleep, you nap for 15-20 mins, wake up and then caffeine hits.
  5. Be consistent. Regular nappers get better results.
